The novelty here is that even the items already managed are gaining new uses throughout the campaign: the archery gains broad-point arrows (which can be used for Lara climbing or hanging), while the ax can be used in conjunction with a rope, creating the “harpoon axe”, basically a rudimentary grappling hook. Practically everything that Lara had in the previous game is back (not everything right away it’s weird that she has to relearn things she already knew), including archery and her famous mountaineering axe. not just the gameplay is essentially the same, as the structure of the game also follows the same scheme: mixing exploration, stealth and intense shootouts with platform moments and good puzzles, the game has a relatively linear cadence, with expansive scenes dotted with relics, documents, tombs and other secrets waiting to be unveiled.
